Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this?

We use the daily closing price for the day you picked. Results assume you bought once on that date at the closing price and held until now. Real trading would have slippage, fees and taxes that this does not model.

How far back can I go?

As far back as the coin existed and was tracked on-chain. For Bitcoin, Dogecoin and other OG plays you can go a decade back. For meme coins like PEPE you can go to within days of launch in 2023. For brand new pump.fun coins you can only go back to when they were first picked up by a public price oracle, usually a few days after the bonding curve started.

Where does the historical price data come from?

DefiLlama as the primary source — they aggregate prices across DEXes and CEXes and store daily snapshots going back many years, free and unlimited. CoinGecko serves as a fallback for the most recent year if DefiLlama doesn't have a coin.

Why is my coin not showing up?

Either it is not indexed on CoinGecko yet (most new pump.fun launches take days to weeks to get listed) or the name you typed does not match. Try the symbol instead, or the official name.

Can I share my result?

Yes. Use the Save screenshot button on the result card to grab a PNG with your numbers baked in. Perfect for posting on X or Telegram. The screenshot honours your peak-value preference — if you've hidden the ATH peak section it stays out of the image too.

What is the gold "Peak value at ATH" section?

When the coin's all-time high happened after your purchase date, we show what your position would have peaked at if you'd held until that day and sold at the top. Click the small × in the top-right of that gold block to hide it. Your choice is remembered, and a "Show ATH peak" button appears so you can bring it back any time.

Is this financial advice?

No. Past performance does not predict future returns. This tool exists for fun and to put market moves in personal terms. Do not invest based on what could have been.

Built for fun, not financial advice. Historical prices from CoinGecko.
